Project Description
When defects are found, the real question is: Can we safely continue operating? VAIC’s Fitness-for-Service (FFS) assessment gives you a clear, engineering-based decision on whether to run, repair, re-rate, or replace—helping you avoid unnecessary shutdowns while staying safe and compliant.
Inspection technique
We evaluate damage such as wall thinning, corrosion, dents, cracking indications, and local metal loss using the recognized API 579-1 / ASME FFS-1 methodology. The process relies on high-quality inspection data and produces clear outcomes: allowable limits, operating restrictions (if needed), repair options, and follow-up monitoring recommendations. Deliverables are documented for traceability and delivered under strict QHSE discipline, supporting confident decisions for operations, integrity, and management teams.
Applications
Assets with corrosion, thinning, dents, or detected anomalies
Run/repair/replace decision support under time pressure
Re-rating, life extension, and operational justification cases
Post-incident evaluations and integrity restoration planning
Critical equipment requiring defendable engineering decisions
